Sautéed Mushrooms

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Clean and Slice the Mushrooms

Begin by cleaning the fresh mushrooms under running water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a paper towel. Once cleaned, slice the mushrooms into even pieces, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince them using a knife or a garlic press. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Allow the oil to warm for about 1-2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and spread them out evenly. Let them cook undisturbed for about 5 minutes until they begin to brown.

  5. 5

    Add Garlic, Salt, and Pepper

Stir in the minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Continue to sauté for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown.

  6. 6

    Finish with Fresh Parsley

Once the mushrooms are cooked, remove the skillet from heat. Chop the fresh parsley and sprinkle it over the sautéed mushrooms for added flavor and color. Toss gently to combine.

  7. 7

    Serve

Transfer the sautéed mushrooms to a serving dish and enjoy them warm as a delicious side dish or topping.
