Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Espresso Infused Rum

In advance, infuse your rum with fresh espresso. Combine 1 cup of rum with 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso. Let it steep for 2-3 hours, then strain to remove any coffee grounds.

  2. 2

    Prepare Glass

Choose a cocktail glass or coupe and chill it by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 1.5 oz of Charanda, 0.75 oz of Mezcal, 0.5 oz of Orange Curacao, 0.5 oz of Lime Juice, 0.5 oz of Orgeat Syrup, and 0.5 oz of the Espresso Infused Rum.

  2. 4

    Shake

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

  1. 5

    Strain and Serve

Dump the ice water from your chilled glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass. You may garnish with a lime wheel or a coffee bean if desired.
