In a slow cooker, place the pork shoulder. Season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour in the water.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Mix in the barbecue sauce and set aside.
