Ribs

Dry Rub

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepping the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Applying the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together all the dry rub ingredients. Rub the mixture generously over both sides of the ribs. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 4

    Baking the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another piece of foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

  3. 5

    Making the BBQ Sauce

While the ribs are baking, combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.

  4. 6

    Glazing the Ribs

After baking, remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs.

  5. 7

    Finishing on the Grill

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more BBQ sauce until caramelized.

Serving

  1. 8

    Ready to Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
