Method

Brisket Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Season the Brisket

Rub the beef brisket with smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Ensure that the spices cover the entire surface.

  3. 3

    Prepare Vegetables

Slice the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

  4. 4

    Cook the Brisket

In a large roasting pan, place the seasoned brisket, add sliced onions and minced garlic around it. Pour beef broth over the brisket. Cover with foil and roast for about 3-4 hours, or until tender.

  5. 5

    Shred the Brisket

Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes. Shred the brisket with two forks.

Mac and Cheese Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 7

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 8

    Combine Macaroni and Cheese Sauce

Add the drained macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well to coat the pasta evenly.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Assemble the Bowl

In serving bowls, layer the macaroni and cheese, followed by the shredded brisket. Top with sliced green onions, a dollop of sour cream, and pickled jalapeños.
