Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

In a skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat, cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover the skillet or grill to help melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the hamburger buns lightly. On the bottom bun, add a patty with melted cheese, followed by pickles, ketchup, mustard, onions, and the second patty with cheese. Top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Cut the burger in half if desired and serve immediately with your favorite side.
