Hash Brown Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and grate the potatoes using a box grater or food processor. Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, finely chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Cook the Hash Browns

Spoon the potato mixture into the skillet, pressing it down gently to form an even layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the bottom is crispy and golden brown. Flip carefully and cook the other side for an additional 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once both sides are golden and crispy, remove the hash browns from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
