Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Cauliflower
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower, keeping it whole. Use a knife to cut out the core and create a deep cut in the center.
- 2
Marinate the Cauliflower
In a bowl, mix buttermilk and hot sauce. Submerge the cauliflower in the mixture, ensuring it is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Prepare the Breading
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 4
Bread the Cauliflower
Remove the cauliflower from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Dredge it in the breading mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
- 5
Fry the Cauliflower
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded cauliflower. Fry for 8-10 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Place the fried cauliflower on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with two dill pickle slices and cover with the top half of the bun.
