Directions
Prepare the Spicy Mayo
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce until well combined. Set aside.
Season the Tuna
Rub the ahi tuna steaks with olive oil and then coat them generously with blackening seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Sear the Tuna
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned tuna steaks and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until a crust forms but the center remains rare.
Prepare the Avocado
While the tuna is cooking, slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice into thin pieces.
Assemble the Sandwich
On the bottom half of each brioche bun, spread a generous amount of spicy mayo. Layer on the sliced avocado, followed by the seared tuna. Top with fresh pico de gallo and cover with the top half of the bun.
Serve
Serve the blackened tuna sandwich immediately with your choice of side.
