Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Caramelized Onions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Slice the onion and add it to the skillet. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden and caramelized. Season with salt to taste.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In another skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Black Pepper Aioli

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with garlic powder and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  4. 4

    Cook the Burgers

Season the Angus beef patties with salt and grill or pan-fry them over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with blue cheese to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the hamburger buns lightly. On the bottom half, spread a layer of black pepper aioli, add the cooked Angus patty topped with melted blue cheese, then pile on the caramelized onions and crispy bacon. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
