Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the New York strip steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Broil the Steak

Preheat the broiler. Place the steaks on a broiler pan and broil for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the broiler and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Bleu Cheese Butter Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Bleu Cheese Butter

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, bleu cheese, garlic powder, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  2. 5

    Shape and Chill

Shape the mixture into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate until firm.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Garlic

Cut the top off the head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 30-35 minutes.

  2. 7

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes, squeeze the roasted garlic into the pot, add butter, milk, salt, and pepper, and mash until creamy.

Asparagus Preparation

  1. 9

    Roast the Asparagus

Toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until tender.
