Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sauerkraut

In a medium saucepan, heat the bacon beer sauerkraut over medium heat until warmed through, about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  2. 2

    Toast the Bread

Spread butter on one side of each slice of marble rye bread. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the buttered side of the bread down. Toast until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the unbuttered side of two slices of toasted marble rye, layer the corned beef, warmed sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Spread Russian dressing on the unbuttered sides of the other two slices of bread and place them on top to form a sandwich.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Return the assembled sandwiches to the skillet and grill over medium heat. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot with extra Russian dressing on the side if desired.
