Preparation of Vegetables
- 1
Prepare the Cucumber
Wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water. Slice it into thin rounds or half-moons, depending on your preference. Place the cucumber slices in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Prepare the Carrots
Peel the carrots using a vegetable peeler. Once peeled, cut the carrots into thin sticks or matchsticks. Add the carrot sticks to the mixing bowl with the cucumber.
- 3
Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the tomatoes under running water. Cut them into wedges or quarters, discarding any tough stems. Add the tomato wedges to the mixing bowl with the other vegetables.
Assembly
- 4
Combine the Ingredients
Gently toss the cucumber, carrot, and tomato in the mixing bowl to combine them evenly.
- 5
Add Croutons
Sprinkle the store-bought croutons over the top of the mixed vegetables in the bowl.
- 6
Serve with Dressing
Serve the salad immediately with the dressing on the side, allowing each person to add their desired amount.
