Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Breading Setup

Set up a breading station by placing flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another bowl, and a mixture of bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumb and Parmesan mixture.

  4. 4

    Cook the Chicken

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown. Transfer to a baking dish and finish cooking in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes.

Marinara Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Start the Sauce

In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 6

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Add the canned crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  3. 7

    Simmer the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pasta Preparation

  1. 8

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of water to a boil, adding 1 tablespoon of salt. Add the angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 9

    Drain the Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 10

    Combine Everything

On a serving plate, place a portion of the cooked angel hair pasta, top it with marinara sauce, and then add the baked Parmesan chicken on top.

  2. 11

    Garnish

Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves and additional grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
