Mojito Preparation

Prepare the Mint and Lime
In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves, releasing their oils. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.

Add Lime Juice
Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice of one half into the glass. If desired, you can also add the other half cut into wedges for extra flavor.

Mix in the Rum
Pour the white rum over the muddled mint and lime mixture. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.

Garnish and Serve
Garnish your mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge, if desired. Serve with a straw or a stirrer and enjoy!
