Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the egg batter
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sugar until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 2
Prepare the bread
Take the brioche bread and slice it if not already sliced. You should have 4 thick slices for the French toast.
Cooking
- 3
Dip the bread
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg batter, making sure to coat both sides well but not soak it too long.
- 4
Cook the French toast
Place the dipped bread slices onto the heated skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. You may need to adjust the heat to prevent burning.
Serving
- 5
Plate the French toast
Once cooked, remove the slices from the skillet and place them on serving plates.
- 6
Add toppings
Top the French toast with fresh berries, drizzle with maple syrup, and dust with powdered sugar as desired.
