Truffle Ingredients

Method

Truffle Preparation

1

Prepare the Chocolate Mixture

Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl.

2

Heat the Cream

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.

3

Combine Chocolate and Cream

Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to melt the chocolate.

4

Stir Until Smooth

Whisk the chocolate and cream together until smooth and fully combined.

5

Add Flavorings

Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt into the chocolate mixture.

6

Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1-2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to scoop.

7

Form the Truffles

Once the mixture is set, use a melon baller or your hands to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.

8

Coat the Truffles

Roll each truffle in the unsweetened cocoa powder or powdered sugar until fully coated.

9

Serve and Enjoy

Place the truffles on a serving plate and enjoy them paired with your tasting.
