Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, then form into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and onion rings. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
