Preparation

Preparation

1. Preheat the Broiler

Set your oven's broiler to high and allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes.

2. Prepare the Fillet

Rinse the fresh grouper fillet under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Ensure there are no bones or skin left on the fillet.

3. Make the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

4. Marinate the Fish

Brush the marinade generously over both sides of the grouper fillet. Allow it to marinate for about 15 minutes at room temperature.

Cooking

5. Broil the Grouper

Place the marinated grouper fillet on a broiler-safe pan or baking sheet. Position it about 6 inches from the heat source in the oven. Broil for about 5-7 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has a nice golden crust.

6. Garnish and Serve

Remove the fillet from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
