Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Prepare the Fruits

Wash, peel, and core the apples and pears. Cut them into small cubes. If using fresh berries, wash them thoroughly.

Mixing

3

Combine Fruits

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed apples, pears, and berries.

4

Add Sweeteners and Spices

Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the fruit mixture. Toss gently to coat the fruits evenly.

Baking

5

Prepare Baking Dish

Pour the fruit mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

6

Add Water

Pour 0.5 cups of water around the fruit to help create steam during baking.

7

Prepare Topping

In a separate bowl, mix oats, melted butter, and chopped nuts (if using) until well combined.

8

Add Topping

Sprinkle the oat mixture over the fruit in the baking dish.

9

Bake

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the fruits are soft and bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

Serving

10

Cool and Serve

Remove the baked fruit dessert from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm. Enjoy!
