Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Start by patting the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Drizzle the olive oil over both sides of the steaks and rub it in. Then, season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow the seasoning to penetrate.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

While the steaks are resting, preheat your grill to high heat (approximately 450-500°F or 232-260°C). If using a charcoal grill, make sure the coals are glowing red and covered with white ash.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steaks

Once the grill is hot, place the seasoned steaks directly on the grill grates. Grill for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them to achieve good sear marks. Flip the steaks and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer depending on your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat.

Sauce Preparation (Optional)

  1. 5

    Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice. Drizzle over the steaks just before serving, if desired.
