Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you may add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top, and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired level of doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. Optionally, toast the buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and your desired amount of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
