Churro Dough Preparation

Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the water, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Add Flour
Once the mixture is boiling, remove it from heat and add the all-purpose flour. Stir vigorously until the dough comes together and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

Incorporate Eggs
Allow the dough to cool for a few minutes before adding the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture

Mix Cinnamon Sugar
In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Pipe Churros
Transfer the churro dough to a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle. Carefully pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors.

Fry Until Golden
Fry the churros for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan.

Serve the churros warm, optionally with chocolate sauce for dipping.
