Method
Preparation
Prepare the Broccolini
Rinse the broccolini under cold water and trim off any tough ends. If the stems are particularly thick, consider halving them lengthwise for even cooking.
Mince the Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.
Cooking
Heat the Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
Sauté the Broccolini
Add the broccolini to the skillet and sauté for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it starts to become bright green and slightly charred.
Add Garlic and Seasonings
Stir in the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the broccolini is tender but still crisp.
Finish with Lemon Juice
Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the charred broccolini. Toss to combine.
