Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

Take the Denver steak and duck breasts out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Meat

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped fresh rosemary. Rub this seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the Denver steak and duck breasts.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

  2. 4

    Cook the Denver Steak

Add the Denver steak to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust according to your preference for doneness.

  3. 5

    Remove the Steak and Rest

Once cooked to your liking, remove the Denver steak from the skillet and place it on a cutting board. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes.

  4. 6

    Cook the Duck Breast

In the same skillet, place the duck breasts skin-side down. Cook them for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the meat is cooked through.

  5. 7

    Remove the Duck and Rest

Remove the duck breasts from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Slice the Denver steak and duck breast against the grain. Arrange them on a plate. Optionally garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
