Spice Blend

Meat

Optional Marinade

Method

Preparing the Spice Blend

  1. 1

    Mix the Spices

In a medium bowl, combine paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly blended.

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 2

    Prep the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs if it’s still attached for better flavor absorption.

  2. 3

    Apply the Rub

Generously apply the spice blend all over the pork ribs, making sure to coat both sides evenly. For best results, allow the ribs to rest for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors penetrate.

Optional Marinade

  1. 4

    Marinate the Ribs

If desired, mix apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and honey in a bowl. Submerge the rubbed ribs in the marinade and let them sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight for deeper flavor.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F or 150°C).

  2. 6

    Grill the Ribs

Place the ribs on the grill bone side down. Cook for about 3 to 4 hours, turning every 30 minutes, until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone easily.

  3. 7

    Optional Glaze

If you want a glaze, brush the ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
