Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

2

Prepare the Ham

Remove the ham from its packaging and place it on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, making cuts about 1 inch apart and about 1/4 inch deep.

3

Make the Glaze

In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, apple cider vinegar, and water until well combined.

Cooking

4

Bake the Ham

Place the scored ham in a roasting pan, cut side up. Brush a generous amount of the glaze over the top and sides of the ham, reserving some glaze for later.

5

Cover and Cook

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).

6

Glaze Again

Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize. Brush the reserved glaze over the ham every 10 minutes.

7

Rest and Serve

Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
