Method

Cake Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3

Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

4

Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

5

Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6

Cool the Cake

Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Topping Preparation

7

Prepare the Topping

Once the cake is completely cool, spread a layer of mayonnaise over the top of the cake.

8

Add Pork Floss

Evenly sprinkle the pork floss over the mayonnaise layer, pressing it down gently to ensure it adheres.

9

Garnish

Sprinkle the chopped scallions over the pork floss for added flavor and decoration.
