Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the bone-in ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, making shallow cuts about 1 inch apart.

  2. 2

    Mix the Glaze

In a medium saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, black pepper, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth, stirring occasionally.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Glaze the Ham

Brush the glaze generously over the scored ham, ensuring it gets into the cuts for maximum flavor.

  2. 4

    Bake the Ham

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes.

  3. 5

    Finish Baking

For the last 30 minutes of baking, remove the foil to allow the glaze to caramelize and become sticky. Continue to baste with the glaze.

  4. 6

    Rest and Serve

Once the ham reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), remove it from the oven, and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
