BBQ Sauce
Method
Prepare the Ribs
- 1
Season the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Pat the pork ribs dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 2
Wrap the Ribs
Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil, ensuring they are fully sealed. Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet.
- 3
Bake the Ribs
Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until they are tender. You can check for tenderness by inserting a fork into the meat; it should easily pull away from the bone.
Make the BBQ Sauce
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to mix all ingredients.
- 5
Simmer the Sauce
Bring the sauce to a gentle boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly.
