Prepare the Cream Filling

Mix Egg Yolks and Sugar
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy, about 5 minutes.

Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Mix gently until combined and smooth.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Make sure not to overwhip.

Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently until fully combined. Set aside.
Prepare the Coffee Mixture

Brew Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool slightly.

Mix Coffee and Liqueur
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur. Stir to mix well.
Assemble the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, lay half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Repeat the dipping and layering process with the remaining ladyfingers and cream mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle dark chocolate shavings for garnish.
