Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

After steeping, remove the tea bags from the pot and discard them.

If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or 0.5 cups of honey while the tea is still warm. Mix until dissolved.

In a large pitcher, add 4 cups of ice cubes and 1 cup of lemon slices.
