Old Bay Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail Recipe

Preparation of Shrimp

    Season the Shrimp

    In a large bowl, toss the peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp with Old Bay seasoning until evenly coated.

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

    Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

    Char the Lemon

    Cut the lemon in half and place it cut side down on the grill or skillet. Char for about 2-3 minutes until grill marks form. Remove and set aside.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Place the seasoned shrimp on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Preparation of Cocktail Sauce

    Mix the Sauce

    In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Stir until well mixed.

    Taste and Adjust

    Taste the cocktail sauce and adjust the hot sauce to your preferred level of spiciness.

Serving

    Plate the Shrimp

    Arrange the cooked shrimp on a serving platter.

    Serve the shrimp with the spicy cocktail sauce and charred lemon halves on the side for squeezing.
