Prepare the Croutons

Toast the Bread
Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Melt the unsalted butter in the skillet. Add the bread slices and toast until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes total. Remove from heat and let cool before cutting into small cubes.
Make the Dressing

In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, minced garlic, anchovy paste, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Assemble the Salad

In a large salad bowl, chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Add the toasted bread cubes and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top.

Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if desired.
