Preparing the Spicy Remoulade

Make the Remoulade
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, garlic powder, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and refrigerate until ready to use.
Preparing the Oysters

Shuck and Prepare Oysters
Carefully shuck the oysters and remove any shell fragments. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.

Coat the Oysters
Combine flour and cornmeal in a shallow dish. Dredge each oyster in the flour mixture, coating completely, and set aside.
Frying the Oysters

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).

Fry Oysters
Carefully add the breaded oysters to the hot oil, cooking until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
