Coffee Ingredients

Milk Ingredients

Optional Toppings

Method

Brewing Coffee

  1. 1

    Step 1: Brew the Coffee

Start by boiling the water in a kettle. Once boiling, let it cool for about 30 seconds to reach an ideal brewing temperature (around 90-95°C). Place the freshly ground coffee in a coffee filter or French press, and pour the hot water over the coffee grounds. Let it steep for about 4 minutes before pressing or filtering the coffee.

Preparing the Milk

  1. 2

    Step 2: Froth the Milk

While the coffee is brewing, heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Do not let it boil. Use a milk frother or whisk to froth the milk until it doubles in volume and has a velvety texture. If you prefer a creamier cappuccino, you can steam the milk using a steam wand if you have an espresso machine.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 3

Step 3: Combine Coffee and Milk

Once the coffee is brewed, pour it into a coffee cup. Slowly add the frothed milk on top of the coffee, using a spoon to hold back the foam if desired, or simply pour it all in for a frothy finish.

Finishing Touches

  1. 4

    Step 4: Add Toppings

Sprinkle cocoa powder or ground cinnamon on top of the frothed milk for added flavor. Add sugar to taste, stirring gently to combine.
