Pueblo Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties approximately 1/4 lb each.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- 3
Prepare the Fry Bread
While the patties are cooking, warm the Indian fry bread in a separate pan or oven until heated through.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
On each piece of fry bread, place a cooked beef patty with melted cheese, followed by lettuce and slices of tomato. Top with another piece of fry bread if desired.
- 5
Serve
Serve the Pueblo Burgers warm, with your favorite condiments or sides.
