Fried Ice Cream Ingredients

Method

Fried Ice Cream Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ice Cream Balls

Scoop the vanilla ice cream into 4 equal-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours until firm.

  2. 2

    Crush the Cornflakes

In a food processor or in a plastic bag, crush the cornflakes until they are fine crumbs. Transfer to a shallow bowl.

  3. 3

    Make the Batter

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, cinnamon, and sugar until smooth.

  4. 4

    Coat the Ice Cream Balls

Take the frozen ice cream balls out of the freezer. Dip each ball into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated, then roll it in the crushed cornflakes to cover completely.

  5. 5

    Freeze Again

Return the coated ice cream balls to the baking sheet and freeze for an additional hour.

  6. 6

    Fry the Ice Cream

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Carefully add the frozen coated ice cream balls to the hot oil, frying them for about 10-15 seconds until golden brown. Remove them quickly and drain on paper towels.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and top with whipped cream.
