Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a small saucepan, heat the milk until warm (not hot). Remove from heat and stir in the yeast and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the frothy yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 3
Prepare the Filling
In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Melt the butter and set aside.
- 4
Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- 5
- 6
Shape the Rolls
Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
- 7
Second Rise
Cover the rolls with a clean cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- 8
Bake the Rolls
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9
Make the Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 10
Glaze the Rolls
Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
