Method

Preparation

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature is ideal for roasting vegetables.

2

Prepare Asparagus

Rinse the asparagus under cold water to remove any dirt. Trim the woody ends by bending each stalk until it snaps naturally, which will remove the tough part.

Roasting

3

Season the Asparagus

Place the asparagus on a baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

4

Roast the Asparagus

Spread the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and slightly crispy.

5

Add Lemon and Parmesan

Remove the asparagus from the oven and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Sprinkle 0.25 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the top, tossing gently to combine.

Serving

6

Serve

Transfer the roasted asparagus to a serving platter and enjoy immediately as a side dish or appetizer.
