Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Iceberg Lettuce
Remove any damaged outer leaves from the iceberg lettuce. Cut the head into quarters and rinse under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Slice the Red Onion
Peel the outer layer of the red onion. Cut it in half from root to tip, and then slice it into thin half-moon shapes.
- 3
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 7-10 minutes. Flip occasionally to ensure even cooking. Once cooked, place the bacon on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into bits.
Dressing Preparation
- 4
Make the Blue Cheese Dressing
In a mixing bowl, combine the blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Mix well until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
