Wonton Filling
Method
Wonton Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped green onions, grated ginger, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 2
Fill the Wontons
Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the chicken filling in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half diagonally to form a triangle, and press the edges together to seal. You can also fold the two outer corners towards the center to create a 'purse' shape if desired. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- 3
Cook the Wontons
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully drop the filled wontons into the boiling water and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
