Method
Baking Instructions
- 1
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- 3
Mix Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- 4
Add Flour
Sift in the all-purpose flour and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 5
Fill Ramekins
Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.
- 6
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Let the cakes cool for 1 minute, then carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with melted chocolate to create a thin chocolate shell.
