Burger Preparation
1. Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let them drain on paper towels.
2. Form the Burger Patties
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal parts and form into burger patties.
3. Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
4. Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
5. Prepare the Vegetables
Slice the tomato and red onion. Set aside.
6. Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the cheese-topped burger patty on top, followed by crispy bacon, pickles, sliced tomato, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
