Cheesesteak & Eggs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic until they are softened, about 4-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Scramble the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk the eggs with milk, salt, and black pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the vegetables and scramble until just set, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Add the sliced steak to the skillet with the scrambled eggs and mix to combine. Divide the mixture between the steak rolls.

  5. 5

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the cheddar cheese over low heat until smooth. If needed, add a splash of milk to achieve desired consistency.

  6. 6

    Serve

Drizzle the creamy cheese sauce over the filled steak rolls. Serve immediately.
