Method

Crab Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crabs

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add Blue Crab, Dungeness Crab, and Snow Crab. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until crabs are bright red and fully cooked. Drain and set aside.

Seasoning

  1. 2

    Season the Crabs

In a small bowl, mix the Old Bay Seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the seasoning mixture and stir for about 1 minute. Add the cooked crabs and toss well to coat evenly.

Crab Cakes

  1. 3

    Make the Crab Cakes

In a bowl, combine the jumbo lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped green onions, mayonnaise, and fresh lemon juice. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into patties.

  2. 4

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In the same skillet used for the crabs, add a little more butter if necessary. Cook the patties over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
