Glassware & Finishing
- 1
Inspect each coupe
Place all 12 crystal coupes on a clean, soft surface. Visually inspect each glass for chips, cracks, clouding, or manufacturing defects. Set aside any damaged pieces for return or separate handling.
- 2
Dry and polish
After cleaning and rinsing, use a sterile microfiber cloth to dry each coupe by holding it by the stem and gently drying the bowl, rim, and base. Finish with a food-safe polishing cloth (if available) to remove any remaining streaks or lint. Use a second cloth to handle the base so fingerprints are minimized.
- 3
Label
Apply a small adhesive label or tie-on tag to the base or stem (avoiding adhesives on the rim or bowl) noting the set name, quantity, or SKU for inventory/packaging.
Cleaning Solution
- 4
Prepare cleaning bath
In a large clean basin, combine 6 cups warm water with 1 tablespoon mild dish soap and 1/2 cup white vinegar. Mix gently to avoid suds. The vinegar helps dissolve mineral deposits and reduces clouding.
- 5
Wash the coupes
One at a time, carefully submerge each coupe (holding by the stem) into the cleaning bath. Use a soft nylon brush or soft cloth to clean the inside bowl, rim, and foot. Avoid twisting the bowl and stem in opposite directions to prevent stress on the joints. Work methodically so every surface is cleaned.
- 6
Rinse thoroughly
Rinse each coupe under a gentle stream of warm water until all soap and vinegar residues are removed. Ensure the water runs clear and no visible soap films remain.
- 7
Sanitize/Final rinse
Prepare a final rinse of 1/2 cup isopropyl alcohol mixed into 2 cups of warm water in a separate basin (or pour alcohol over the glass briefly while rotating). Dip or rinse each coupe to help displace water and promote faster, streak-free drying. The alcohol also helps sanitize the surface. Use caution and keep away from open flames.

Prepare packaging
Line the bottom of the box with a layer of acid-free tissue paper. Place the corrugated divider or molded insert into the box to create 12 individual compartments sized for the large coupes.

Fill gaps and seal
Fill any remaining gaps with additional tissue to prevent shifting. Close the box and seal securely with packing tape. Attach labels as needed and mark the box 'Fragile — Glass' and 'This Side Up' to ensure careful handling.
