Method

Broth Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broth

In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

Stir in the miso paste, allowing it to dissolve. Then add the chicken or vegetable broth and soy sauce. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

  3. 3

    Add Green Onions

Add the sliced green onions to the broth and let simmer for another 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure the miso is well incorporated.

Noodles and Toppings Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook the Ramen Noodles

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually around 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Soft-Boiled Eggs

Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Gently add the eggs and boil for 6-7 minutes. Immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice in half.

  3. 6

    Assemble the Ramen Bowls

In a bowl, place a serving of cooked ramen noodles. Ladle the hot miso broth over the noodles. Top with soft-boiled eggs, nori sheets, bamboo shoots, corn kernels, and drizzle with chili oil as desired.
