Method
Brewing the Tea
- 1
Boil the Water
In a kettle, bring 2 cups of fresh water to a boil. Ensure that the water reaches a temperature of about 175°F (80°C) for optimal brewing of green tea.
- 2
Add Tea Leaves
Once the water is boiled, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes. Then, add 2 tsp of Japanese green tea leaves to a teapot or a cup.
- 3
Steep the Tea
Pour the hot water over the tea leaves. Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes. Adjust steeping time based on your taste preference; longer steeping will result in a stronger flavor.
- 4
Strain and Serve
After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer or a tea infuser. Pour the brewed tea into a cup.
