Method

Prepare Sticky Rice

  1. 1

    Rinse the Rice

Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rice

Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer basket lined with cheesecloth. Steam over simmering water for about 30-40 minutes or until tender.

Prepare Ginger Soy Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Stir well and set aside.

Cook Fresh Fish

  1. 4

    Season the Fish

Season the fresh fish fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large wok or frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

  3. 6

    Cook the Fish

Add the fish fillets to the hot wok and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 7

    Add Ginger Soy Sauce

Pour the ginger soy sauce over the fish in the wok and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Stir-Fry Fresh Vegetables

  1. 8

    Prepare Vegetables

In another pan, add a splash of olive oil and heat over medium-high. Add sliced bell peppers, julienned carrots, and snap peas.

  2. 9

    Stir Fry

Stir-fry the vegetables for about 3-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

Serve the cooked sticky rice on plates, top with the wok-fried fish and drizzle with extra ginger soy sauce. Add the stir-fried vegetables on the side.

  2. 11

    Enjoy

Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and enjoy your wok-fried fresh fish with sticky rice and fresh vegetables!
